Time: ~2 hours
From time to time, I ask my friends if they want me to draw them anything. Back in summer of 2015, I asked my roommate Malika if she had any requests.
She had always admired my "Profile Studies," and asked if I could draw something similar to them.
I marathoned various old James Bond movies with my parents that summer, which made me realize that I will always view Eva Green's Vesper Lynd as the ultimate bond girl.
When I sat down and thought of what to draw for Malika, I quickly thought of Eva Green. Her style was definitely reminiscent of that featured in the "Profile Studies" collage.
This piece was certainly a challenge for me, as I could not achieve the level of shading present in the reference image I used. The forehead and eyes look a bit flat to me; I think I could have captured the shading a bit more accurately, had I used white color pencil or charcoal for the highlights.
